I was pondering…… as I was waking up this morning a recordings on spirituality that I’ve been listening to. It was speaking about the universe and life being just as the ocean. Everything ebbs and flows, Waves are constantly forming, but waves are not just one wave, they are made up of smaller waves and part of the larger ocean. They flow in sets and come in small sets and larger sets. The waves as is the ocean are affected by the moon and the sun’s pull and energy.
Life is also like these waves. Sets of energy that sometimes come from within us or outside of us can wash over us and sometimes feel like they are battering us. We may have “bad” things happen to us in multiples or blessings happen in multiples as well. I have been learning lately that you have to move with the waves. If you fight the waves you may drown in the effort. Know that sometimes things come at us when we’re not looking or when we’ve been already hit by 2 out of 3 waves. When you see or get hit by some of life’s bigger waves don’t fight, acknowledge that it’s happening and know that it will pass, the sets of calm are coming. Dive under or through it and stay centered and calm. You’ll see the way out when you get to this state. The blessings are coming again!
If you give the big bad waves energy they will grow stronger as well. There’s a Star Trek Next Gen episode where they have to realize that the ships shields are actually making a energy wave so strong that it would have ripped the ship apart. They realize at the last second that they have to drop the shields so the wave can pass over them without resistance, thus saving the ship. Same thing with our lives, sometimes you have to accept and flow with things. Don’t get angry and fight, accept and let it pass. This is not the same as being a doormat however. This is just a realization of what is happening without judgment and taking the power away from the negative. It is being the calm in the eye of the storm.
And the next time you’re in a calm set you may see the big nasty sets coming and get some water wings to float over them!
